It has been a mixed month for me with some good and some bad. Personally and reading-wise, I had the best month so far this year. However, work has become quite difficult to manage and I even had to skip a posting day. I’m feeling burnt out and I’m finding it hard to get the motivation to get up every day. I don’t see this pace slowing down any time soon as my family commitments will increase and work pressure as well in the coming months. However, I’m going to strive to put my health first despite everything, which hopefully will translate to more reading time! Anyway, let me put away my grand plans for the future and talk about how March went for me.
Happy March to all my lovely readers! It’s already reached summer temperatures here in my city and I find myself excited about the change. I seem to have found a renewed energy in pursuing the goals I’d set for myself at the beginning of the year. I also started re-reading an old inspirational book that was a favourite of mine as a teenager, which has helped me cope with all the things life has thrown at me in February. I hope I can keep this momentum going throughout the year! Now, let’s talk about the month that just went by and my plans for the upcoming one.
Happy February to all my wonderful readers! January was over within the span of a breath and I find myself writing another wrap-up post. However, there isn’t much to say as I didn’t get a lot done. I had very lofty ideas on how to make drastic changes in several aspects of my life and some of them never happened. Nevertheless, I’m going to redouble my efforts this month and hope for the best! For now, let me update you on how my January was.
Happy December, dear readers! If you’re freaking out about how 2018 has slipped through unnoticed, you’re not alone. I actually took a whole month off (without informing beforehand – sorry about that!) but I have no idea where all the time went. Suddenly 2019 is too near and I feel very unprepared. At the same time, I’m excited to take the next step in my blogging journey. I don’t want to share too much right now because I’m going to be dedicating an entire blog post for that later on. Coming to how November went for me, I tried to take part in two readathons. Although I didn’t read as much as I had planned to, I’m quite happy with whatever I did manage to accomplish. I know this has been a recurring line in 2018, but I still struggle to not beat myself up over not doing everything as per plan, so please be patient with me! Without further ado, let’s dig into the details.
October was one of the worst months of my life, to be honest. Not in terms of the books I read or anything related to that but personally. I don’t have a lot of words to share but I’m dealing with some really traumatic personal stuff, so I’d really appreciate some distance and understanding at the moment. It made me reconsider many things, go on a short hiatus at the end of October and I’ve been struggling since to get my life back to normal. This wrap-up may not be as detailed or wordy as usual mostly because I’m in the mood for brevity. However, sharing my love for books makes me feel marginally better, so I decided to write this post despite everything. With that sombre introduction out of the way, let me talk about the reading month I had and what I’m looking forward to in November.
The wrap-up is early this month as well (I tend to do it on the first Saturday of the next calendar month, for those of you unfamiliar with my posting schedule) because I have an exciting post lined up for next Saturday. I had a very good reading month this time around because I’ve been a bit more free lately. I participated in a grand total of 3 readathons already and have squeezed in a fourth that begins on 30th July. Needless to say, I need to get back to my reading because I’ve over-committed as usual, so let’s get straight to the post!
I can’t believe 2018 is half over already! I’m sure many of you share the same sentiment too. I feel like I haven’t done all that much this year in terms of working toward my personal goals. I’ve decided to try harder in the latter half of the year, so let’s see how well that goes. I also have a lot of new ideas for the blog and I want to start posting consistently at least from now on. I want to change things up with my Bookstagram as well and I’m starting to get more active on Book Twitter too. For now, let’s discuss the reading month I’ve had so far and my exciting plans for July!
I’m so glad to be alive and posting on the blog again! It’s been raining steadily for the past one month now and my favourite month of the year has arrived. I can’t wait to get back into the blogging rhythm again and finally have the time to visit all the lovely people who follow me and chat with me here. Without further ado, let me talk about how my reading went in the month of April and May. After that, I’ll delve into my plans for June. Since I’m a bit more free from this month onwards, I’m attempting to read more than I have ever before and challenge myself, which is exciting and scary at the same time. Hopefully I’ll have only good news to share in my next wrap-up post.
