Winter BiBib Day #1: Snowy Day Reading List

I’m doing my first read-a-thon/reading challenge/blog challenge of the year starting today and it is none other than the Winter Biannual Bibliothon. It is hosted by The Booktube Girl, Brittni’s Book Find, dylanthereader5, emmmabooks, Kellys BookSpill, LittleBookOwl and Little Red Reader over on YouTube. It has reading challenges, video challenges, blog challenges and Instagram challenges so that everyone can join in. It’s great fun and I’m so happy that I’m doing it for the second consecutive time! A few old-timers here probably remember the first time I took part in this. All of the posts I did for the Summer Biannual Bibliothon of 2017 can be found here. The first blog challenge is hosted by Latte Night Reviews and Victoria has asked us to create a snowy day reading list.

Winter BiBib Day 1

For those of you familiar with my life, I live in a tropical city where there isn’t even the barest hint of snow. So, compiling a snowy day reading list proved a bit of a challenge for me. However, I decided to put my own spin on things and create a list of books with white covers. I’ve already read every single one of them and enjoyed them, so this also doubles up as a book recommendations list. I’ve also included the genre and what mood the book is perfect for so you can find your perfect match.

Intimidating TBR Pile Tag

Every once in a while I like to introduce a little fun into my blog posts with a book tag. There are so many of them that have interesting questions that I’m not sure when I’ll get through them all. For those of you who are new here, TBR stands for ‘to be read’ and is a generic term used by bookworms to talk about the enormous pile (physical or virtual) on their bookshelves that is waiting to be devoured. This tag was created by a YouTuber whose channel no longer exists, unfortunately. I didn’t get tagged by anyone to do this, but found that it fit my state of mind perfectly.

Lately, I’ve been in a reading slump. I’m yet to start a new book in over two weeks, which is starting to freak me out because I’m such a consistent reader. The reason for this is lesser time, lesser energy and the fact that the books I want to pick up are either too intimidating for me or I just don’t feel like getting into at the moment. I’m hoping this tag will give me the push I need to get back into reading again. With that little introduction out of the way, let’s get to the questions.

A Very Potter Book Haul

It’s been a while since I posted and that’s because life got pretty hectic since I started a new job. I didn’t expect it to get so busy so suddenly, but that’s life I guess. I promise to be more consistent because this blog is precious to me, pretty much as the Ring was to Gollum. I did say this month would be Harry Potter themed to celebrate its 20th anniversary and the impact it has on my life. I must confess that I don’t own physical copies of all the books (which shall be rectified as soon as I get my salary, never fear), but I have a few books on here that is my entire Harry Potter collection.
