Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Fall TBR (2018)

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. How it works is that each Tuesday the host assigns a topic and then posts their top ten list that fits the topic. Every blogger can create their own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well and link to the host’s. The topic for September 18th, 2018 is:Β Books On My Fall 2018 TBR. I really want to get to as many books as I can, what with review copies piling up and my mood reading getting in the way of reading some of my most anticipated books. Today I will showcase ten of them, divided into five different categories.

    1. Thank you so much! 😊 I’ve not heard a single person say they didn’t enjoy Circe, so I’m really looking forward to it. 😍 Oh, that’s so nice to hear because I really admire Felicity’s character as well. Yes, they all look perfect for the season and I can’t wait to get to them all! I hope you have a great time reading these too. ❀

  1. Lovely TBR – these covers all look so aesthetic haha, I especially love the one for The Gilded King, The Book of M and the new patrick ness book (really want to read that one!). Happy reading!! πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you, Marie! ❀ The book designers have really upped their game recently and I’m loving all the gorgeous book covers. 😍 This maybe a bit shallow but if I get a request for a review copy with a good cover I feel more inclined to accept it. πŸ™ˆ Happy reading to you too! ❀

  2. Wonderful list! The Book of M sounds so interesting. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!
Circe and Beneath the Citadel have such gorgeous covers. That fall aesthetic is what I was trying to achieve with my own TBR but I had maybe one or two that fit the fall aesthetic.
    Happy reading!! πŸ™‚

  3. Great list!
Book of M and Circe are on mine too. Although might not for this fall, but in general πŸ˜€
I have also Shadow and Bone, i got it because of the great reviews but so far i didn’t feel like reading it… :/

    1. Thanks, Norrie! 😊 I added Shadow and Bone for the same reason and yet I’ve but gotten around to it. πŸ™ˆ Fall seems like a good time to immerse myself in a new fantasy world. I also like to read bigger books around this time and a new series to get invested in sounds great. But I have no idea when I’ll actually get to these. πŸ™ˆ

  4. I really hope you enjoy Circe and Shadow & Bone when you get to them! And I’m looking forward to Muse of Nightmares as well. Besides that, my fall reading will be a mix of new books and older ones already in my TBR. The ones I can think of off the top of my head are V.E. Schwab’s Vengeful, Anna-Marie McLemore’s Blanca & Roja, N.K. Jemisin’s How Long ‘Til Black Future Month? (short fiction collection), Jessie Barton’s The Miniaturist, and Scott Lynch’s The Lies of Locke Lamora. Oh, and Alice Hoffman’s Practical Magic. *lol* One of my friends IRL just bought the book and wants to read it around Halloween, so I’m planning to do the same now.

      1. Yay! πŸ™‚

Regarding Locke Lamora: It’s funny, because originally I had other “older books” in my TBR that I was planning to read instead. But then in a month’s span, four other writing, reading, or blogging friends of mine read it and also loved it. So I’m taking that as a sign that it’s now my turn. πŸ˜‰

      2. That’s definitely a sign! πŸ˜‚ The last/fourth book isn’t out yet and I don’t think has a set publication date, so you can take your time with this series. Fantasy heist books are one of my favourites to read and I hope you enjoy it too! 😊 I will say that there’s a lot of swearing (more than I’m used to in books anyway), which makes sense, but surprised me at first.
